Camp is just ard the corner! oh well..it's tmr..hehe...lookin forward to it but at the same time prayin those FOC ppl dun so anti la...onli mix among themselves...hope everything goes smoothly...n i bet i'll get tan when i come bac...mayb that will b another round of ppl not recognisin the black tan wing...haha..juz like that time go obs come bac all chao ta..then wave to ppl they dun response...cant recognise me..haha...okie...so may i hav loads of fun for the nx 4 days n smooth sailin as well!!

hmm...Euro quarter finals juz ended...shud hav bet on some matches..haha..the greece, netherlands n czech match i got the outcome n results quite accurately...but anyway...bettin is out of the story for me...sad sia...cant see the semi!!! will b away at camp...shud hav gotten tv mobile at nus oso ma..then can watch overnite...hahaha...m quite satisfied with the outcome other than england lost!!!!! How can!!!! hai...suay sia they all...forever lydat one...hmm...hope czech will win the finals...if they can beat greece 1st la...we shall see...muz find someone to update me with the results while i m away at camp...hehe...

finally the fortress manage to get me out on scott's bday celebration...haha...all sayin so long never see me...okie...half a yr la..is tt lonG? hee...but went awhile onli then went bac for daddy's day celebration...n of coz not forgettin my fireworks...hehe...hmm...changes in some of them i think...

yeah...ppl do change...for the better n fer the worse? it happens both ways i guess...between friendship n relationship...which one is more impt? hmm...seen some real life situations tt makes me wonder...hai...shan't dwell on that qn...

Supposedly gotta stay in school for the whole day to do up the camp stuff..but then it seems that "we hav a v efficient logistics..." so everything is done up nice nice liao..haha..so shud i say thank goodness they dd it or shud i juz scream my head off n complain.."ask me go sch so early rush like siao then sit there half the day slack n tellin me tt i can go home liao!! Wad tHe Heck?" i seriously wonder..

It can b considered eventful thou we juz sit ard doin nth..the only thing we did was to take the FREE Cleo maG n FHM mag..supposedly for the freshies matric pack..but er..hehe..we juz happily took some la..for our own readin pleasure..heh..the 1st stop was at the freezer SR..think SR 11 or SR 10..forgot liao..n moved to LR 426..oso quite cold la..considerin stayin in there for so long..Wad did we do then? 1st half of the time was spent slackin n rottin..me n cheryl, being new to the com was a bit outta place la..(thou the enrolment day did went well for me..) then finally Lester (Mr Nice Guy so-he-seemed-to-b...) jio us to play dai dee..finally savin me frm the borin 1st half..then wing..haha..(tot it was me huh..but it's another com member same name as me oso call wing..but onli diff..she more gd lookin la..!) gave briefin on the programmes n stuff..soon after a few rounds..it's lunch time..new frens made..ding ling n ruina..no wonder dingling looks so familiar..she's frm pj! haha..wonderful discovery..but one yr my senior..quite okie la..hang out with them for the rest of the day..after lunch still play daidee lor..know one more fren..jonathon..er..duno how to spell the name la..n kenny..n finally see who yuan song is..hmm..think the onli onZ guy in our grp is aloy lor..so it'a all up to him to make the grp happening! but..the 2 guys are mobile lor!! hmm..cross my fingers n pray that the camp will be fun..haha..okie..tt's abt all for my day at sch..Dreead the early timing of 9 am nx tue!!

Juz cant believe it..it's been a yr since i 1st step into NUS! n today is the freshies enrollment day! (hmm..juz learnt that enrollment is spelt with a double "l"...or is it single?) It wasn't that bad..i mean i felt like a freshie when i went there..cuz all the yr 2s...(my batch one that is..) all noe each other thru foc last yr..n i din go la obviously..hee..that's y duno any of them..felt like a complete idiot at first..haha..was supposed to gather at foyer..but then go there nobody one..and i was early lor..tot sth weird weird one..then after that finally went to ask this ger wearin the FOC tshirt..quite nice leh the design..but i dun have it!! well at least it was better than the last yr's tshirt..n i figured out she was Brenda..one of the FOC i/c..she's v friendly n nice..n chio also..(alright..all the gers there are gd lookin..those sunshine kind of ger..) She knew i din noe anyone in the com and she accompanied me thru the briefin..n intro me to the other com members..

Gotta know a few of them..Christine, Si Ze, Stacey, Ryan, Serene, Lester, Wing, Arthur, Aloy, Dingling a.k.a. the 72 ger..hmm..muz write down la..arbor will forget their names..haha..Met a few of them in campus b4 n tot they were rather dao la..but when i get to noe them..they r actually v fun ppl to b with..at least frm wad i see so far..hehe..Christine is the ger who looked like my JC Class manager..but so far i think she is quite diff frm her..(prove me wrong liaoZ..) She keep askin me if i felt left out..haha..but after the ice between us melted a bit I was able to mingle ard with the other com members..played Daidee..n now i understand why they say Arthur is a nice guy..haha..really la..after this experience then i realise cannot judge a book by its cover..it was quite unfair of me to juz simply label the ppl as "bad" in yr 1..hee..

When the freshies came in, Si Ze (a.k.a Size) n I went to psycho the yr1s to join the camp..He did much of the talkin la..cuz i dun really noe what's goin on in camp..(since i missed out the mock camp..) whenever he mentioned abt car washin to raise funds n how fun the last yr's camp was..i was super guilty..hee..for not attendin any of the activities..and it's thru him that i get to noe Lester n Arthur..the response of freshies turnin up in the foc was 50+..fall short of expectation..but to think of it..this yr was quite messed up all thx to the MOE separate admissions to the 2 uni..still got quite a no of freshies not chosen their course..hence din come..wah..system cork up one! Oops..pardon me..hehe..

Nx was Lester..hmm..nice guy..haha..they say he look like Jay chou..but er..*PukEz* no slightest sign of alikeness..Oops..cant deny thou he's one of the better lookin guys in BRE liao..Christine n him always fightin i guess..haha..violent ppl they 2..

As for my OG mates..i only noe one..Aloy..think he's those kind of siao onZ one..tt's gd...arbor our OG may b super sianz..haha..n he's quite a joker la..so our og will b well entertained..the other guy still haven seen him..yuan song..hmm..one thing i dun like abt him is he's a smoker!!! okie..tt's all i noe la..when i get to see him in camp or nx wed then i shall comment more..

Hmm..thou i've been introduced to most of the ppl..n noe quite a few by now..I think i'm still quite quiet in front of them..haha..hope this condition of mine will change after wed n not to mention the camp itself..! it'll b weird if the yr 2 is so reserved..! Christine told me to join the Rag..i did say okie..but er..whether she rem it..tt's another thing..haha..hope she er..4getS? haha..see how la..quite motivated all of a sudden..hee..so my fac ppl are not tt bad afterall..hmm..hope tt's true la..if not camp will b a horrendous experience..Okie..shall go wait for my fireworks to spark off! (caught the fireworks yesterday nite! nice nice..! not tt nice as NDP..did i mention it b4? *ShrUgZ* who careZ..hee..it's my blog waD!! haha..)

Something meaningful to think about...

1. First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady.

During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions, until I read the last one: "What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?"
Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade. "Absolutely," said the professor. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say hello."
I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.

2. Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain

One night, at 11.30 p.m., an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960s. The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxicab. She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A special note was attached. It read: Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes, but also my spirits.
Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband's bedside just before he passed away. God bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others.

3. Third Important Lesson - Always remember those who serve.

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him. "How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked.
"Fifty cents," replied the waitress. The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it. "Well how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired. By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient. "Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied. The little boy again counted his coins. "I'll have the plain ice cream," he said. The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies. You see, he couldn't have the sundae because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.

4. Fourth Important Lesson - The obstacle in Our Path.

In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way. Then a peasant came a long carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded.
After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway.! The peasant learned what many of us never understand. Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.

5. Fifth Important Lesson - Giving When it Counts.

Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare and serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness.
The doctor explained the situation to her little brother and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, "Yes, I'll do it if it will save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheek. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He
looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away?" Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her. Yet he was willing.

Been silent on the blog for a moment now..perhaps there's not much happening in my life these days plus i've been offline recently..wad have i been doin? i m not v sure..but i can tell u that this period of time is my happiest and most relaxed days ever spent..not worryin about anything (Finally) but simply enjoyin life..playing..duno if this can b considered livin my life to the fullest but still..who cares as long as i m happY!

It isn't that bad not going out often with frens..at least i dun hav to spend too much money when i dun really have the income now..juz outflow of cash n no inflow..haha..been in the holiday mood and spendin quality time with my family..going for movies, shopping, sports..hee..and the best of all..i dun hav to spend much! =P

Went to the Police carnival last wk with qh..as what she mentioned..the most worthy of that trip was nothing else but the monster truck display n other stunts..the 1 hr show is great..! with the champs frm Xtreme performin those stunts on bikes n car splitting away..aussie ppl as well as locals! been seein those stunts either on tv or playin on ps games..n not live...but this time..is real! rite in front of my eyes..! took a few pictures..n video as well..superb performance..!

Hmm..seems that i m gettin slightly tanner..thanx to the sun la..haha..n a bit of swimming..wow..there hasnt been peace over at my house this few days..haha..there's this arts fest event happening this weekend juz on the field opp my house! Korea drummin . percussion..kip rehearsin n testin out their sound system..i wan take nap oso cannot..got the vibrations that is vibratin my head as well..kinda lookin forward to it..especially there'll be fireworks display on sunday nite for its grand finale! hope i can get to see it! since it's juz so near my house..n take a few pictures too! There they go again......screamin n shoutin as if there're live audience in a language that i dun understand..haha..

This sat is the enrolment day for freshies..cant believe it..i m already a yr 2..haha..tt is juz so fast..hope the enrolment day will b a fun one..since i dun really noe the ppl there considerin i ve missed the precamp..

Had quite an eventful day last sat..haha..seems to b laggin a bit in bloggin..considerin it's already mid wk..anywayZ..went to the Changi Naval Base Open House last sat with ethel..rush decision after hip hop i muz say..hee..went home 1st n str8 to Expo after tt..spent like 2hrs travellin..one whle hr of waitin for the shuttle bus to come..can u imagine that!! One whole hour lo..the crowd that turned up was quite unexpected..too many ppl liaoZ..Do u call that a Singaporean spirit or typical Singaporeans?

Met Ethel's aunt, uncle n little cousins..v cute leh..althou the youngest one kinda like to hit ppl alot..haha..thankfully we met them la..cuz they helped us queued up for some rides while we get the chance to walk ard..arbor i doubt there'll be enuff time to visit the whole base..oh ya..surprisingly, met chun lin on the bus..haha.."bus uncle" eh..din know he was in navy..n chris oso..but he's in the crowd la..goin in to visit..n this vball manager..(din even noe till my fren told me..haha..now then i noe i m so blur in sch..) other than them..there's no other familiar faces liao leh..sad sia..haha..but tt is not the impt pt..

The open house was a great success..divided into a few sections..it's not simply a carnival or family day..thou there are also those kiddy rides n games..food stalls..jet skiin n kayakin n banana boat..n all these are for free!! it's a waste that we din get to go experience jet skiin..if there is ever a chance nx time..i think i wun wana missed it..they also allow visitors to board the various battle ships..er..duno the proper term for them..visited the LST..RSS persistence n resolution..if i din rem wrongly..the latter was a big ship..duno how many storey high..the interior is not tt spacious..the bunks rather cram..but alright la..still got air con, tv, vcd player, telephone..wow..it's not a luxury to stay in the cram condition but considerin all those facilities they hav there..n the honour to b in Navy..that's enuff to satisfy me..haha..took a bit of the pics onli..cuz erm..my camera no batt lor..haiz..(sorry ar..qh..if u r readin this..hee..but at least took some la..)went on a ride on the fast craft..not as fast as the name suggest..but..ya..cant expect much..hee..went on a RESCUE mission on that fast craft..haha..memorable..the other fast craft broke down n i think our fast craft went out further than others..n longer journey oso..almost half an hour..to transfer the passengers who r on board the other craft onto ours..cool stuff..n witness the other craft being towed away by another fast craft..wah confusin..haha..the only think i hate abt the fast craft is the life jacket..super heavy can!! duno they contain some metal..heavy weight one somemore..din noe how to put it on nor take it out..when they took the life jacket out..it's really a great load off my shoulder..(n yesh..thnk they r more likely to drown us with that heay metal in it..)

Bought some souvenoirs bac..like the magnet alot..v cute..n the bottle too..exp it may b but it's not everyday that u get to go to such places ma..hee..By the end of the day, our legs nearly gave way..haha..too much queuein to b done..go everywhere oso hav to queue..n not for 15 min or wad lo..it's more like half to an hr long of queuein!! wonderin if Singaporeans like to queue so much is it..go bac take bus oso nd to queue..din get to seat till the journey home..oopS..one more thing..hai4 my fren miss her kick box lesson..hee..sorwee..! but glad that u think it's worth it all =) hope there's another open house some day soon..be it navy or air force..i still think it's a great experience..! too cool to b true..! heh..(bet the Navy officers will find the public a bit amusing..haha..to b crazy n fascinated over the "metals"-ships n vessels..that they hav been facin for duno how long..haha..)

Oh ya..Vesak day juz passed..happy vesak day to all..hope the hol went fine..now my legs r achin after the prayin session..er..i tink tt is the proper term..frm 3 am to 6 am lydat la..knee cap n elbow there all red red liao..went home wanted to slp la..but din really hav a proper slp..wakin up every once in a while..juz came bac frm movie.."Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban"..not as nice as the previous 2..not that excitin..no climax one leh!! felt that it's like a waste of $8.50..haha..think readin the storybook is better..the movie cut away quite a lot of details that the book has..sian sia..shall get bac to the book when i finish this..hee..to think of it..mayb it's not much of a waste after all la..at least get to meet up with the er..clique? haha..not really clique la..but those more close frens frm sec sch cca..din get to talk much thou..met up liao then go cinema liao..by the time the movie ended..time to go home..midnite liao ma..arbor they dun nd to go home liaoZ..haha..see ya all soon someday again! Muz go play till siao..but a bit impossible la..now tt those who r in NS r in n those in sch bz with their work..nvm..wait till end of yr or sth la..hee..shall end off..

PS: those who r intendin to watch Prisoner of Azkaban..dun hold ur hopes to high up k..would b better to watch it on a wkday..more worth it la..if not juz wait for the VCD n read the book..lydat oso more worth..hee..
